Customer FAQ
Straight answers about the machines, the fees, the payments and the compliance. Figures are AUD ex GST. If a detail depends on your site, just ask and we'll confirm it.
How it works
They tap a card, phone or watch to unlock the door, open it, take what they want, and close it. The machine uses AI vision to see what was taken and charges for exactly that. No buttons, no spirals, no app to download.
There's no spiral coil or drop mechanism, so there's nothing to jam and no failed vends. Instead of choosing one item from a fixed slot, customers browse the fridge like a shop and can take several items in one go. The camera, not a motor, decides what you're charged for.
No. It works with a normal contactless card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Nothing to install, no sign-up.
The range
Three SenseMART models: the S400 chilled cooler (~294 items, $8,700), the S600 chilled cooler (~384 items, $9,800) and the CS500 freezer (~294 items, $10,200). All prices AUD ex GST; capacities are approximate and depend on your product mix.
Yes. The CS500 is a freezer that runs down to about −25°C, suitable for ice cream and frozen ranges. The S400 and S600 are chilled coolers.
Yes an optional 21.5 inch 1080p screen mounts on top of the S400 and CS500. Run your own promotions on it or sell the space to brands as a second revenue line.
Custom wraps are available. A minimum order quantity applies, so ask us about wrap options and lead times for your fleet.
Payments & fees
Takings settle to your account through Nayax. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all supported.
When a customer taps to open, the system places a temporary hold (a pre-authorisation) on their card (you set that amount). If they take items worth more than the hold, the system automatically re-attempts payment for the balance several times a day until it clears.
No. If you're starting from scratch we'll help you open a Nayax account and get payments live.
Running it
Everything runs from one login in a web browser. You see live stock levels, get automatic low-stock alerts, and can change pricing and products remotely across every site and machine. There's nothing to install.
Because you get low-stock alerts per machine, you restock when a machine actually needs it rather than driving a fixed loop. That cuts wasted fuel and labour on machines that were still full.
A standard power point. Daily power use is about 2.3 kWh (S400), 3.5 kWh (S600) and 6 kWh (CS500). Full electrical specs are on each machine's spec.
Compliance & support
Yes. RCM for electrical compliance, MEPS rated 8 stars out of 10 for energy performance, and GEMS registered with accurate Energy Rating Labels.
They're made by SenseMART, a subsidiary of SenseTime a publicly listed AI company whose vision technology is used in security, autonomous driving and healthcare. AI Vendi is the exclusive Australian distributor.
These depend on your location and order. Ask us and we'll confirm warranty terms and delivery and install for your site before you commit.
Yes. Book a live demo and we'll show you the tap, open, grab and go experience, then run the numbers for your sites.
